Covering Madera, Fresno, and Coursegold/Oakhearst

I am sorry, but I forgot to take pictures of the cookies we made to drop off to all the amazing people in our ward, so I will have to make more cookies and then take pictures.  It is weird trying to cover Madera, Fresno, and Coursegold/Oakhearst, you should look them up on google maps.  The previous missionaries did an amazing job of note taking and maps of Madera so we are able to keep trying to visit those that are in need or struggle to make it to church or activities or whatever it may be.  The hard part was with mile cuts, we do not know much about Fresno yet, so we just keep trying all the members in the directory, former investigators, and our current investigators who are not responding at the moment.  We had another great lesson with Morgan and Daniell in which we read 3rd Nephi 27 and they said they will keep reading the Book of Mormon daily so we will be following them up on that and we feel that we should move on too faith and then the Gospel of Jesus Chr...

Pray for Daniel

Morgan and Daniell would be the investigators to pray for.  Their friend Abby just invited them to church activities and so now we are teaching them.  They are reading the Book of Mormon and the biggest problem at the moment is Daniell's older brother Kyle is against her being baptized.  They have been taught the Restoration and the Plan of Salvation so we are planning on teaching them the Gospel of Jesus Christ this week and so we might invite them to pray about to know the Book of Mormon is true or go over the baptismal interview questions so they can realize how much they actually know.  The rest of our investigators we were unable to contact through text, calling or dropping by, but we will keep trying.  We have an awesome ward and elders quorum president who do all they can to help us so it encourages us to always be thinking of ways we can find so that more people can be taught and fellow-shipped. We are really trying to focus on and get to know the member...

Morgan and Daniel

That is awesome and fun.  We are trying to use that, the challenge is that we want to find people they can teach, so we can talk to people on the street and hand them off to other missionaries, but it takes a lot for us to find someone that way.  We have a good group of investigators with great member fellowship, and we do not foresee anything from holding them back from learning and keeping commitments.  We invited 2 of them to baptism, Morgan and Daniell, we are teaching them together with their friend Abby, member of the ward, and they said they didn't feel ready for such a big commitment and didn't want to feel pressured into anything, so we will just continue to teach them and help them take the steps they need to be ready for baptism.  Its weird trying to cover the whole stake, because things are so far apart, like we have dinner with a member on Thursday up in the mountains, so they are 35 miles away so that will be a fun day.

They are so cute!!!  I got transferred to the Valentine YSA ward, so I still go to the same church building, but I now live in Madera, about 20 miles north of Fresno, and now we cover the entire Fresno West Zone looking for YSA's to teach and help.  When we got to the apartment, their was tons of candy in the cupboards, pie and cake and pie and soda and other unhealthy things in the fridge, so it looks like we get lots of tasty goodies being here.  One challenge this transfer will be trying to use our 1550 miles well.  We mainly work in Fresno and Madera, but with Fresno being so far away, that takes lots of planning.  The Elder Quorum president is amazing here, if he had enough time he would move the world, but he doesn't, so he will just give us the support and help that we as the missionaries and the ward need.  Preach My Gospel tells us to have a member at every lesson possible, so he has done all he can so that when we have a lesson, we can call and fi...
