4 Investigators

I love all of those cowboy hats haha.  Thanks so much for all those who wrote.  I am going to get off that thank you letter today, I need to take more pictures but we are either busy or tired, being busy helps you forget you are tired.   I guess they are at EFY now but Drew, I went on exchange the other day with this Elder from Columbia, and his favorite player is James Rodrigez who plays for Real Madrid I think, is he any good?  Also go BYU football, do we play Fresno St this year because I don't remember and some FS fans were asking about it? Dayton, good luck converting Drew to the ways of video games, my companion love video games and went to super smash brothers tournaments and won a few of them, so he is pretty good, also he is like 2 time state champ in the long jump with 24feet, so pretty balla, On what you need to know before your MTC, a big thing is the normal read and pray, but to start thinking about your mission more as it gets closer.  Al...

Arrived in Fresno

So much happens in a week and it starts blurring together.  I was disappointed yesterday as they had us start reading a case study but didn't give us enough time to finish it.  It was about a missionary that was transferred to like the Cambrige mission or something in the new york area or something.  The really important thing was that when she entered, they had only 2 investigators and she kept being told that the mission was no good, but she was so determined so she changed things up by having the newer members have the missionaries over and while they were their they would invite them to find referrals and stuff.  Also the missionaries would get to church early so she could try and learn everyone in the word.  They also made a huge chart that listed all the families and things about them and the missionaries did their best to learn it all so they could love and care for the ward better.  It started with a referral and so that was good and then they had ...

First Letter

i love sister allred, she is my bestest friend ever.   So as you can tell sister allred thinks very highly of herself.  Anyway, the MTC is so wonderful and great, their is so much learning to be done but I am so excited and this place is the best, like EFY for missionaries, it feels so similar in so many ways.  My companion is Elder Smith, and he has quickly realized  that I am ridiculous and so reminds me all the time while I am laughing and having a wonderful time.  I feel like elder Talbot is a new person I have never met because I have never been so loud and outgoing in my life.  Elder smith is very humble and a wonderful companion, he got made district leader so i get to be his senior companion for the 2 weeks that we are here.  Our district has 4 elders and 6 sisters, and so we also share the room with elder schliep and elder mcdougal who are awesome elders.  We spend so much time learning and are so busy I am always amazed at how much fun I ...
