Elder McDaniel

Mission, so when it comes down to it, we spend 2 hours plus studying everyday, which is why seminary is so important because their is so much to learn and seminary is a wonderful way to start learning so much everyday, one of the other big things was my week studying during the weeks, it matter not as much the pages you read, but the time and effort you put in and being able to apply it and to remember the scriptures are for are day so their are always things to be learning from it.  I got a new companion Elder McDaniel, he is so fun and awesome, he is stressed with a car and learing 2 wards, but he has been 14 months out so he has a lot of experiance that I am trying to learn from.  Planning is huge, it means everything on a mission, we only get things done becasue we have it planned out before hand, even though plans never go the way you think they will.  it is also complicated, as we have up to 8 hours a day that we need to have plans we things get done, people found, a...

Day 97

This week has been truly amazing and so much fun.  We had district meeting this week and love learning so I loved it and how some one gave a lesson on becoming master teachers, and that is something I really want to work on is teaching with short powerful statements instead of my long mumble jumble that confuses everyone to death.  The best part of the week though is that we were able to teach our investigator Salvador in the temple waiting room, it was a freakin amazing experience, it was so peaceful their in the temple and he enjoyed and learned a lot.  I am so excited for this upcoming week because he is coming to the missionary farewell and we will be teaching him with the bishop in a few days so we are hoping that as the Spirit continues to touch his spirit that he will be able to bear his testimony to his mom so that he can be baptized.  With another investigator Sonja we went over the baptismal interview questions so now we have much better ideas and plans on...

We had transfers this week and it has been Awesome!! My new companion is Elder Draney and he has been showing me how unorganized everything is so we have been doing lots of cleaning and organizing but its great and should make things easier to do.  He is also super fun and goofy, he played rugby in high school, came from Thatcher Utah, and loves cars.  Neither of us really know the area and the area books are a disaster so we are also working on trying to get those up to date.  Luckily for us Elder Reid is here with us for a few days and he know the area inside and out, he was in the area for 9 months and is going home in 2 weeks so he is a huge asset in getting to places and finding people to go visit and teach.  I love the Fig Garden ward more every week it truly is amazing how much the members can help when they are missionary minded and so we are working on more ways to get them involved because they want to help as much as possible.  The Sierra ward is diff...
