Day 41
This is a good day, it happens to be my companions birthday, he is 20 now, so he is reaching the age where fun is not allowed anymore. Anyway this has been another crazy and wonderful week. Nothing seems to ever go as planned so sometimes I wonder why we plan and them I realize that we plan for the hope that one day things will go to plan. Anyway,so many people to meet and talk too, their is a reason why parents always tell us not to talk to strangers, because they might tell you that you need to leave your cult and stop worshiping the devil. My companion says that some people like this are blind and deaf in a way because they don't want to listen, or read, or pray, and don't seem to understand that all our pamphlets have Jesus on the front because our message is centered on him. The most exciting thing this week was Sonja, she prayed and has received an answer and so she has told us she wants to be baptized on September 27/28, which is so crazy because she has been all over the place and has been investigating for the past year. I am so glad for the wonderful people in the ward who have become her friends and love and help her, they make the difference. Another cool thing is that we went out with a member and a young man named steven who is preparing to go on a mission. We are able to go and talk to his aunt, we talked and taught her some things and were their for like an 1+. She had some great questions and insights and is prepared to here more and so we are working on setting a return appointment since the last one fell through. Sadly we only had 1 investigator who came to church, that is proving to be very difficult to get people to come as we had been hoping that Noe, some of the Troches, the Murreys, Kimberly, and some others that we were not able to invite because they were not their for the appointment. I love when we have tons of investigators and people in the same area so that we have easy backups for when things don't go as planned. Friday was really cool because we found lots of new investigators. I need to write more things down, so we found and taught Kevin and we are hoping to get back to him, really it comes down to the basic commitment for people to progress. We were also able to meet Keshay, but she does not live in our area but her grandma does so we are hoping to be able to teach them both sometime, then we also found george that day. George is the neighbor to a referral that were trying to see but it ended up being this guy named Leo, who has all of these bogus things about us and Joseph Smith, and that he has accepted Christ and is already saved, it bugs me to hear people say that because to truly accept Christ, that requires a lot of change on our part, and so we know thier is more to do than say some words and be saved, back to George, he is going through some hard times and he said he felt something and that God had let us too him and so I hope we will have more chance to talk with him and let him know he will be able to be with his father again. Then we were also able to teach to Kim and Sherall, who live in our apartment complex and so hopefully they read the pamphlet we left with them. A lot of things come down to agency as people choose whether or not to show up, to read, to pray, and so I need to continually improve on having the spirit with me so that it may touch their hearts and lead them to truth and joy.
The members feed us well!!, I eat my peanut butter sandwhiches and cereal, I dont know how to spend money
