Sadly I left the cord for my camera at home so I will have to get you the zoo pictures next week. Happy Birthday Devin, I meant to send you a card a few weeks ago but I am still having a hard time of keeping track of things so I am righting more things down. Somehow Preperation day feels like the busiest day of the week and it flies by and thier is not enough time to do all the cleaning and other things that we need. Its so awesome to hear from almost everyone, its so much fun to hear from you and see how what you put reflects you and how you grow, Drew I build those snowmen, but first it needs to snow and I need to learn how to juggle. Anything exciting in the sports world, BYU, Real Madrid, Preseason ranking? Devin and Danica keep staying cute. Mom, its so much fun to learn and study more about the gospel, my problem is I keep wanting to read things like Jesus the Christ and the teaching of the Prophets before I do the studies for lessons and preach my gospel, so I need to do a better job of that. We had a zone conference this week and that was super fun, I learned lots and really want to improve our dinner lessons and conversations because I get too distracted by the food but I am working on that. I am also excited as I start working on an attitude of gratitude and so that will help me better understand and appreciate the ways things are and those things are for the best. Its always crazy for me to be in ward council and to sit next to the awesome relief society president Sister Brunsvick and to think thats what my mom is doing back home. I have enjoyed the training things the ward councils have been doing on sacrament meeting because I know I grasp only a small portion of its meaning and I sadly feel that is the same for too many people because the sacrament is so important and yet their are so many inactive people for whatever the reason but I feel that when we have gained a deeper knowledge of the sacrament then we would realize that we cannot go without it. I have been studying the teaching of Joseph Smith recently and he has said and taught so many great things. My problem is I treat them too much like books and so I read over it and miss to many things so I will have to go over it again.
No Investigators, But Working Hard
M y misery last week was self inflicted of course, from a bad attitude and not wanting to work as hard as I should. I read a letter that my companion had that really opened my eyes to parts of missionary work. It spoke of a missionary who had some amazing experiences through hard work and opposition. One of the biggest ones was what he learned in a prayer that the Lord knows where his elect are, but he also wants us to grow so that requires some sifting at times. The Lord loves us, watches over us and knows what I am going through. We had a wonderful specialized training from our leaders about exercising more faith as our mission is baptizing very few at the moment. We don't have any serious investigators at the moment at the moment, but that will just give us more time to work hard to find prepared people. We have been working harder to pray and search for families that will strengthen the ward because they could really use all the extra suppor...
