General Conference
This has been another week, so I never know where to start. Thursday and Friday were amazing as we were able to go and do service with the CDA, and is was amazing to see all the work and effort they put in so that they could spend 2 days giving free dental care to those in need. So on Thursday we spent a few hours helping set up by putting clip boards together for the patients. Friday was really fun but also tiring as we were standing for like 5 hours escorting people from their seats to either the exit or to the dentist so that they could do a simple teeth cleaning. The worst part was that they put us next to the kids station where they were playing the movies Frozen, Big hero 6, and how to train your dragon, so we got to try and not watch those for like 5 hours. They were able to help just over 1250 patients on Friday and they hopefully did the same on Saturday so they had tons of dentists to help thousands of people. Conference was truly amazing, we watched at our church building, the stake center for all 10 hours so it was great, very great, not to many people but we were able to get some people we are working with their. One of the best parts was when Reggie, a less active who is a part of the De La O family we are working with, came to Sunday morning and told us he spent the entire time thinking about President Monson's talk and that he was going to go home and keep thinking it over so we know that's what he needed to hear. I am excited to ponderize, so much fun to say, it was so much fun to listen to conference, for whatever the reason, Elder Hollands and Elder Nelsons talks really hit me so I will need to keep pondering them. It has been difficult for the work as we are still struggling to find people but we keep trying. We were able to see Sonja for a bit this week but she has canceled the last 3 or 4 appointments with us, so that makes it difficult to help her if we can't teach her and invite her to do better. We were able to start working with Sister Navajas husband, Lucas, Sister Navajas is was less active but we have been able to help her and now she is on fire and wants a calling so she can help people, he has questions and he wants to build his relationship with God so we should be able to help him with that. We were also able to follow the Spirit this week as we dropped by another less active family the Reyes, and we were able to learn more about him so now we can better love and help him. It has been amazing as the Spirit has been directing us to them at the times because for my first 2 transfers we saw them once in like 15 tries and it felt like they didn't exist. It was also really fun to have dinner with some members, the Nierders, who love football so they were able to tell me things like BYU won, Texas forgot to show up and other fun things. It was also really fun last night to talk with someone at dinner who has been on the Star wars set for the upcoming movie, so bogus, anyway life is wonderful.
I give up, computers refuse to recognize my cable, nothing shows up, I should probably ask for help again.
