Zone Conference
This week I found that I love having yogurt with peanut butter toast in the morning so that is tasty. This week has been amazing with zone conference. It was so inspiring to feel the Spirit and their words about the importance of exact obedience and that through that we exercise our faith and show who we really are and our commitment to the things that we can control. The Lord is so wonderful in that he wants to bless and help all of his children and so he has given us instruction so that we may be able to be happy and to return to him again. I have loved reading Mosiah 2:41 this week and how it tells of the happy state of those that keep the commandments of God, for when we do so we are able to receive the blessings that our Heavenly Father so dearly wants to give us. The biggest change this week is their are no more write off miles, or miles that do not count toward your monthly total because they are for meetings, with this change we will get to start biking all the time so I will have more opportunities to talk to people. This week has been a real struggle to actually teach people, so we get to improve our diligence to never give up and to keep trying and working effectively all day long. It was really fun to help out the Robinson family, less active, with their garden for 2 hours on Saturday. They are crazy about gardening and so they have so many things growing in their back yard it is amazing. They like to bring some of the extra things over to us sometimes so I am hoping they will give us ideas on how to use things because I just make sandwiches and cookies. I love numbers and so it is always so much fun to hear about them because their are so many out here. The one that amazed me this week, is that as many baptisms come from 25 people the missionaries find as if one investigator is found through members in the ward. Another things that was fun is recently we were challenged that when we teach members, that we ask which of their neighbors they hate the most, and to follow up that with which of their neighbors they love enough to share the gospel with, which really strikes me because we tend to be afraid to share the great joy that comes from the gospel. This tied in so well to the talks given on Sunday, about fear. One of them brought up the servant of Elias who was afraid of the approaching army, until his eyes were opened and he saw the numberless angles and chariots who want so dearly for us to call upon them for strength. Have a great week and never forget that Christ loves you.
Yes, the package got here like 2 weeks ago, so it is sitting of the floor next to my desk waiting to be opened. The best part is we have a temple trip this Wednesday, what more could I ask for? Nothing comes to mind at the moment, but I will start thinking, I will need to check to see if I have gloves and a coat/jacket, and so it is starting to get in the 40's 50's and a bit chilly. Have been getting rain once a week for the last few weeks here which is really needed. People keep asking about all the rain back in Texas. I am usually okay with my spending, but I will need to discuss more ideas for food and better planning for shopping. I feel like I am starting to know more people, and that is awesome to here about the missionaries back home because when members not missionaries, find people to teach, the likely hood of baptism skyrockets. That is so sweet that Devin got 9 goals, yeah. It takes like 15 minutes, but we will be biking more, so maybe closer to an hour to go from top to bottom with all the lights. Their are too many apartments right around where we live so it is hard to find and see people. We are great friends and help each other learn. I am getting better about exercising, as my companion can't run in the cold so I am tempted to walk and talk with him and planking is getting easier, except I have better form know so it hurts more.
