Exhanges and the Story Behind the Fire Fighting Pic

So the fire, we were out driving a few miles south of Atwater and we went to try the Avilla family and so we knocked and rang and no one answered, even though all the cars were out front, so we started to head to the next destination when we saw this big cloud of smoke, we didn't pay much attention at first but we eventually felt we should go see what it was.  We pulled up to the end a the culdesac and we saw the smoke was coming from behind the house, so Elder Toombs hopped and and started running to see if they needed help, they did because there was a couple of fires in their fields, so we started looking for hoses to help spray the fire down until the fire department came.  With the help of other neighbors, we were able to contain the fire without it reaching anything new, like a house, to burn.  Other fun things of the week, on Tuesday I went on exchange with Elder Hopkin's to his area in the Atwater 3rd branch.  That was a really fun day, but also really long we taught 7 lessons that day, and 5 or 6 of them were in Spanish, so I just tried to pray for my companion and not fall asleep because I don't know what to focus on.  Anyway, the next day I got to go back to speaking English  and we stayed busy teaching all day.  We taught Kassandra Davenport, a less active in her early 20's with 2 young kids.  The Davenport home is kind of crazy because it feels like 10 people live there, and different people are home at different times so its hard to teach to there specific needs and follow up with them.  Anyway we left her with 1st Nephi 8 to read and later we followed and she had read and she came to church on Sunday for the first time in weeks so we were excited to see her there.  After that we went and saw Sister Kathy McCartney to check up on her, we read some things to help her and she has really cut back on her smoking and she started keeping the word of wisdom on Saturday because she wants to be baptized on the 25th!! Following that we went to dinner and we shared 1st Nephi 8:12 and talked with the Faulkes, they are a great family.  Sister Faulke is the young women's president and Brother Faulke  does his home teaching so he knows and visits one of the less active families that we are working with, the Scotts.  After that we went and followed up with the Scott's reading, they had not read Helaman 6, so we read and discussed it with them.  Brother Scott brought up he feels kinda depressed because he is losing faith that America will be great again and wonders why Satan is so powerful.  I love the days when I can really focus and study in the morning, it really sets the tone of the day and I know I have done what I needed and  am better prepared for whatever happens.
