Church at Yosemite
Awesome, that looks like a wonderful week full of greatness. We keep bringing up how helpful a blessing would be to Kathy but she has not asked for one so we will work on that again this week. In this stake we have the opportunity to go up to Yosemite and hold a sacrament meeting for whoever is up there in the summer time, so they needed more priesthood to go up so we volunteered and so we had a great time to get to know our high priest group leader and 2nd counselor better. We left at about 8:30 and got up there around 11:30 because of the traffic and craziness because it is 4th of July weekend. We blessed and passed the sacrament to the 40 or so people there. It was super beautiful and awesome. One of the new family's that moved into the ward is so funny because they always invite us over to have dinner when they are having all of there family over, so we are trying to get used to that and get to know the 40 people there. We had a great week in teaching and helping Kathy. We invited her to study Bednar's talk in the strength of the Lord, and really helping her see how the gospel, Christ and the Spirit will give her the strength that she needs to make changes for her life to improve. We had a great lesson with her last night where we ended up teaching about the Spirit and patience in the importance of traveling through life and after we stopped talking she asked us how we knew that she had been praying and thinking about patience that day, and it was so amazing to see that the Spirit is working everywhere and that its up to us to notice it. As missionaries we set goals every week, that are acts of faith of things we hope to accomplish. I usually end up teaching about 12 lessons depending on the week and area, but this week we set the goal of 18 and we were able to work hard, try and teach those we came into contact with, we were able to accomplish it and as our mission president says, teaching missionaries are happy missionaries and that is true, have a great week.
