Tasty Prime Rib and ... Cereal :)

I am so sorry I forgot to talk about counseling next week.  I think it would be helpful, but as a missionary my mind is constantly looking at individual details and I struggle at times to see the big picture, so President Clark gave me some suggestions at interviews to lower the boxes and how I see things.  I am not sure what I would talk about in counseling, I guess it would help us find out if they have ways they can help me.  Challenges and interpersonal struggles, I guess I am not sure where to draw a line on what challenges are and things that I am just thinking about, so I guess a counselor could help me figure that out.  That sounds like such a fun week, I love the  Olympics.  We were not able to see Kathy as she was sick and their phones don't work so it has been harder to contact them.  We contacted Linda and we are hoping she will be more prepared now and we will be sure to help her understand our purpose it to build her faith in Jesus Christ and preparing to join his church is case she thinks we are nice people who do service and bible studies, which is part of what we do.  This has been a great week to teach less actives.  On Monday we visited the Richardson family, they just moved in, the wife is a member, husband is not, she has not been active in a long time and we feel he might be part of the reason so we are working on getting to know them and see how we can help.  We also saw Brother Scott who is working on reading his scriptures everyday.  The Rodriguez family is also less active, they live in a RV in our area and they are also a part member family, they want to bathe before coming to church and I don't know the full story but they feel like the church is not helping them like it should, like if they need a place to stay for a few days like if they make repairs.  We feel like the fact that they have 8 or so pets with them including a goose does not help the situation.  In our visit with Katrina and Kevin Davenport they expressed the goal of wanting to read the book of Mormon from start to finish and we are so excited to help them read and study it.  We saw Micheal Waite, his family is going through some hard times with illness and so we helped clean up there backyard as a ward and shared parts of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with him and he is ready and willing to make changes to allow the power of the gospel into his life.  SIster Marques really opened up to us about her desire to get married in the temple and pray and read the scriptures with her daughter each day.  She has been praying and seeing more miracles recently and that is how the gospel works.  This week was Elder Toombs birthday on the 5th, and because of that we had fun eating cake at 3 separate places during the week and lots of good food.

we were given lots of good food and cereal as a joke.
