Chastity's Baptism
Chastity's baptism was wonderful! We had a great turnout from the ward and from her family. I don't think any of them are interested at the time but I know they felt the Spirit there because I sure did. Ester Lucero, who was baptized in June, has been sick for a while but she was able to make it to the baptism and she brought some of her friends there as well. The sister missionaries did the half time show, or the presentation while the people are changing out of wet suits. They showed the last couple minutes of The Testaments, when the Savior comes to the America's and heals and teaches the people and followed that up with there own powerful testimonies of the Savior and that he did visit the people in America. I really felt the warmth of the Spirit and my saviors love for me. I did not make treats because I thought I didn't have enough supplies, but I actually had enough to make a half a batch of cookies to my surprise.
Thursday was a great day and I went on exchange with the district leaders companion, Elder Mussin, who just like his companion, is from Argentina. We had a great day and were able to teach and see lots of different less active families that we usually can't find home. One of these was the Rubon family. They are from the Marshall Islands and we try to visit them but they always tell us to come later, and so we do and then they cancel again. This has happened at least 5 times so when I was praying the night before and I felt like we needed to be in their apartment complex, I was very surprised. We knocked and they let us in and we were able to talk to them and teach them. We had another amazing experience on Tuesday when were felt hungry and were looking for a place to have a snack. We kept changing our minds and we ended up at a place and we walked in and there was a less active family that we had not been able to find home before, so we talked to them and they told us to come by sometime. Being a missionary is awesome. We had another miracle on Sunday when we had someone that missionaries taught in the past, come to church and he even signed up on our dinner calendar!
Things that I have been learning about myself, well, I have a hard time focusing but I am blessed to have a patient companion who continues to help me. I have also been learning that I have a hard time studying the scriptures, because I end up just reading them like a book and then I have a harder time trying to apply it and teach it. My testimony has probably grown the most on the truth of the Book of Mormon and that Jesus Christ did atone for me, he loves me, strengthens me, he knows how I feel and he wants me to be happy and I can do that by remembering him and keeping my covenants. Today I have had so much fun, we drove up 90 minutes to go and play in the snow! A funny things is that even with that drive, we are still in our ward boundaries, anyway I had so much fun running around in the snow, even though I tried to cross a small stream and one of my feet fell into the really cold water. We went up as a distract, all 8 of us and it was so much fun. I had lots of fun throwing snowballs at the other missionaries. They were all very impressed with my amazing skills and asked if I used to play baseball, which I haven't played on a team since I was like 5 or 6, I just enjoy hitting people with snowballs. I found a small fort someone else had made and so I has only hit 1 or 2 times, until my companion and his friend pushed it over. Later I attempted to make a snowman but I was not very successful at making him round or tall. The snow was great for playing in and I really enjoyed my 2 hours in the snow.

Thank you for the clarification and I sent an email to Spencer. I like how you brought up the things that we do know because that helps us focus on what's important instead of the things that don't make sense at first. I have been thinking as a missionary, and I feel one the primary reasons I struggled so much at BYU was because I was not living the gospel. I didn't keep the Sabbath day holy, I didn't study my scriptures, I didn't pray every day, I didn't magnify my calling or do home teaching, I was chasing after the natural man and trying to have "fun" and that is an appetite that can never be filled. Thank you so much for always loving and supporting me, no matter how many silly things I do.
Have an awesome week.
