Obedience Brings Blessings
We knocked on doors when we were looking for less actives or referrals but not much after that, we stayed really busy. We had a great zone conference on Tuesday that took most of the day. On Monday we helped set up for Zone conference on Tuesday, had a good lesson with a recent convert Melissa, on how she can find peace during trials with her family. We also taught some less active families kids that evening but they didn't pay much attention that evening so it was not very effective. On Tuesday we had a great lesson with one of our investigators Larry and read 2 Nephi 31 with him to teach him about the gospel of Jesus Christ, he loves to learn. We drove up to Springville that evening for dinner and after a great lesson, the members gave us a name for us to go teach. We went out with Brother Webb that evening and we had a super great lesson with a less active. She told us she wanted to read the scriptures more so we gave her a triple combination. On Wednesday we went out for a few hours with our Elder's Quorum President. Most people were not home but we were able to meet the Martin and see their house that looks super cool on the inside. After that we went and did some service at Jerry Elkins place and answered some of his questions. We went out that evening with one of our ward missionaries, we have 9 at the moment, and we were able to have another great lesson with someone who has been going through a hard time.
On Thursday we started teaching the Valencia family who is less active and has a 9 year old son whose nickname is Junior, for Junior and he wants to be baptized, so he became a new investigator. We were also able to see Esther that day and sadly she was not able to make it to church, but she is so excited to see us and loves to learn. The Hofmann family, who was baptized in October, had a really rough week and they decided they didn't enjoy that so they came to church on Sunday and it was awesome! On Sunday we had Jerry come to church and Juni. Jerry will be getting baptized on Sunday and we are super excited for him. There has been so many blessings as we have been striving for obedience. We had a lot of great miracles and I could tell that the Lord was guiding our efforts as we were able to teach and help lots of people at the right times. We keep running into less actives at gas stations, at burger joints, and we keep meeting people are being humbled and want to make changes. We had 26 lessons so that kept us busy. We also started teaching Jonathan, and the mother of one of our recent converts, Carissa, and we are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this week.
