Singing Hymns
I will have to think on the trip because all 3 of those have there pro's and con's and sound super fun. We had a great week. We had a really hard time teaching and finding investigators but whenever we prayed for guidance, we were led to less active families so we had 18 less active and recent convert lessons. We did not have any training's or conferences this week because we had so man last week. Sister Nelson taught us that we can invite miracles by praying for angels, singing the hymns of Zion, and creating a plan to prayerfully study the atonement. Elder Nelson answered a lot of questions for missionaries. Like with part member families, some of them will never join but make sure you are teaching clearly and powerfully so that they know our message. With Less actives we need to love them so that they will share there concerns and that singing hymns in lessons can help invite the Spirit more powerfully. We are spiritual physicians and we need to remember that everyone has challenges. He also taught us from DC 31:1-7, about the blessings of being a missionary, how it blesses our family, how we help establish the church, and to press onward in faith for " your sins are forgiven you," and not to beat ourselves up so much. In DC 138 he taught us about how the prophet saw many people and noble and great ones and that is how he feels as he sees us, a chosen generation sent at this time to serve the Lord and assist him in the work. He also taught us some things from Hebrews 7 but I need to review my notes again. The new format is great. Our ward members sign up on the calendar and 5 nights a week we go out, one with the ward missionary, the one with the other to home teach. We went out with Brother Badders, his son, Brother Webb, Brother Woods, Brother Esquivel, Brother Hatch, Brother Bailey and sadly a few others had to cancel so we were not able to go out with them. I left my byu card that has my ID on it at the apartment so I will need to get that later today so I can start registering. For the summer semester, I want to be with dad's parents if that is still open, I will need to think about it more to receive guidance that I need. We received some more referrals through mormon.org and so we should have some new investigators so be teaching by the end of the week.
