Elder Rust and Final Zone Conference
Elder Rust
This week I had my final zone conference as a missionary, which is sad to think about. During our last zone conference we are given the chance to give our farewell testimony and that was so hard to do. I feel so much joy in being a missionary. We were instructed that the Lord would have us work through less active and part member families to find prepared people to teach so we have been working diligently to meet them, teach them, help them feel the joys of the gospel and so desire to share it with those that they love. Elder Mountford got his boot off on Wednesday, so we are back to biking again, which I normal love but I don't like how its getting hotter outside. We are blessed with so many nice people who give us water every day. I went on exchange with Elder Vaudry and sadly I forgot to take pictures. Its always great to work with a different missionary, to see how they teach and see things differently.
We are continuing to teach Brother Welch and Samantha the new member lessons and they have been going wonderfully. Brother Welch has an amazing desire to learn and every time we go over he shares what he has been studying from the gospel principles book as well as from other things. Both of them have found names of there ancestors and they should be able to make it to the temple to do baptisms for the dead in the next month. Its been hard to teach people this week and we were not able to teach Anna or Kohl but both came to church again.
Last Monday we had lots of fun playing more board games. We played 2 games of star wars monopoly. Both games I took lots of risks to start building fleets(houses) to speed up the game. I didn't work in one game and it did in the other. Its always fun to see how the feel of the game changes when costs go from 30 to 300. We played another game called scary tales, which is similar to apples to apples in which players submit cards and someone picks them but its in the theme of a story which usually turns pretty ridiculous. I hadn't thought of how to pay for shipping my bike, I am not sure how much money in on my debit card or how I go about paying for it.
Missionary work can be so hard at times and that's what make it so worth it and meaningful. I hope y'all have a fantastic week.
